Versions and the deprecation register
Every release is permanent. The unversioned pages under /framework always show the current version; each release also has a dated tree that never changes and is never removed, so a citation written today still resolves in ten years.

Every identifier ever retired
The register lists every identifier that has been deprecated or superseded, the version in which it happened, and the identifier that took over. It is never pruned.
No statement has been deprecated. Version 1.29 is the first stable release, so nothing has yet been retired or superseded. This register is published now because it must be permanent from the first deprecation onward, and every entry added to it stays here.
A deprecated identifier resolves permanently, rendering with a DEPRECATED tag, the version of deprecation and a link to its successor. It never returns 404.
What is coming, and when
Dates are commitments to open consultation, not to a content outcome. If a release is not ready it slips, and the slip is published here with a reason rather than the date quietly moving.
