Trademark and seal policy
The content is free. The claim of conformance is not. Anyone may use the framework, and only a listed holder may display the seal that says so.

| Tier | Name in text | Wordmark | Seal | Condition |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| No listing | Permitted | No | No | You may name the framework and cite statements under the licence. You may not use our logo or suggest a relationship. |
| Tier 0 | Permitted | In claim wording only | No | Self-declared listings carry no seal. The required claim wording states that we have not reviewed the alignment. |
| Tier I | Permitted | Permitted | Tier I seal | Seal must name the framework version, the tier, the year, and link to the register record. Applies to the verified credential only. |
| Tier II | Permitted | Permitted | Tier II seal | As Tier I. The seal may not be applied to sibling credentials that were not reviewed, even from the same provider. |
| Tier III | Permitted | Permitted | Tier III seal | Seal names the framework version, the tier and the year, and links to the register record. It marks the organisation, so it may not be applied to a credential outside the portfolio reviewed. |
Five conditions, all of them binding

STANDARDS
- 9.3.1The seal is issued to a named holder for a named standard and tier. It is not a general endorsement.
- 9.3.2It must carry the standard, tier and year of issue. A seal without them is void.
- 9.3.3It must link to the holder's register record wherever it appears online.
- 9.3.4It may not be recoloured, re-typeset, cropped, or placed within one seal-width of another certifier's mark.
- 9.3.5Use ends on the day the listing lapses or is withdrawn.
Lapse, withdrawal, and what you must do
Online use stops the same day. The register shows the listing as lapsed with its end date.
You must tell us. Seal use may continue during re-verification unless we say otherwise in writing.
All use stops, including social profiles, email footers and slide decks.
Tell us and stop using the seal. The register records a voluntary withdrawal, which is not a finding against you.
Seal use stops when the decision is issued, not when the appeal concludes.
If you see a claim that looks wrong
Report it. Most misuse is careless rather than dishonest, and is corrected within days. You do not need to be a customer, a competitor or anyone in particular to report.
