AICS-N-2026-00430 August 2026Tier III opened and the first accredited awarding body listed
Issued 30 August 2026 · Office of the Registrar · reference AICS-N-2026-004 · in force
Tier III of the conformance scheme is open from today. The requirements were settled at publication; what was undecided was the opening date. That decision has now been taken and is recorded at /governance/decisions.
IBAIC Inc. is listed at Tier III following an organisation-level review of its governance, examiner competence, standard-setting practice, appeals process and consistency across its credential portfolio. The review was carried out against framework version 1.29 and the listing states that version; it does not carry forward to later versions without review.
No recusal was required. No director, editor or reviewer of AI Certification Standards holds an interest in IBAIC Inc., and neither does the founder. The disclosure page states that position in full.
Tier III accredits a body, not a course. A listing at Tier III does not permit any claim about a specific credential beyond the portfolio reviewed, and the permitted wording at /using/conformance is the only wording authorised.
Issued by the Office of the Registrar on 30 August 2026. This text is not edited after issue; a correction is published as a new notice referencing this one.
